# Tej Pratap Yadav works out with Mallika Sherawat on reality show 2026-08-24T12:51:51+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of veteran leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, has gone viral for a workout segment with Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat on the reality show 'Bhojpuri Bawaal'. In the clip, Sherawat acts as a fitness instructor guiding Yadav through yoga and stretches, she performs the moves with ease while Yadav struggles, at one point saying, 'It's very hard.' The show, which premiered on JioHotstar on August 2, follows the daily lives of popular Bhojpuri personalities without conventional tasks or eliminations. Yadav joined the show earlier this year. The viral moment is the latest in a series of offbeat public appearances by the politician, who in 2015 famously rode a horse to his office while serving as a minister in the Nitish Kumar government. Yadav was arrested in July 2024 and remanded in custody for 14 days after police alleged his actions contributed to the escalation of protests in Patna over an alleged NEET paper leak. It was the first time the 38-year-old politician had been jailed. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Tej Pratap Yadav's reality show appearance is the latest step in his transformation from a Bihar minister into a full-time social-media personality, a shift that began after he lost his assembly seat. His growing digital presence, mixing politics, spirituality, and lifestyle content, helps him stay relevant in a state where his party, RJD, relies heavily on the Yadav family brand. The show itself is a platform for Bhojpuri celebrities, a vast audience that overlaps with the RJD's core voter base. The key number to watch is whether this exposure translates into any measurable electoral gain for him or the party in the next Bihar assembly election. ## Coverage - hindustantimes.com Leads with the viral video and frames the politician's persona as a series of offbeat moments, prioritising entertainment value over political context.
