Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday discussed using Artificial Intelligence to plug GST leakages and boost state revenue. He met economist Arvind Subramanian, who suggested coordinating departments such as Municipal Administration, RERA, Panchayat Raj, and Energy through AI to track construction material taxes. The CM said a new AI-based system would simplify processes for GST officials and accelerate economic growth. The Hindu reports Reddy also wants to ensure businesses are not adversely affected, and that the system could link Mee Seva, Aarogyasri, and the CM’s Relief Fund. Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju was present.
