Goud said the party high command was aware of the comments and would not tolerate anyone crossing the line. Rajgopal Reddy, however, stood by his remarks, asserting that those who joined Congress from other parties were dominating genuine party loyalists and causing injustice to them. Goud sought to downplay talk of differences between the party and the government, saying they would move forward with coordination and the party would play a role in major government decisions. On appointment of Corporation chairpersons, Goud said 60 per cent positions would go to veterans and 40 per cent to others.
