# Telangana police arrest son-in-law for missing woman’s murder

Telangana police have arrested Gundala Tirupathi Rao, son-in-law of Vedulla Venkata Narasamma, 60, after her remains were found in an oil palm plantation in Khammam's Sathupalli mandal. Narasamma went missing from Tumbur village three days ago. Her family lodged a complaint, and police began investigating. Telangana Today reports that Rao confessed to murdering her and led police to a dumping site where bone fragments were recovered from ashes. The Times of India, however, says his involvement in the killing has not been established. Police inspector T Srihari said the remains suggest Narasamma was brutally attacked and her body burnt. Forensic teams are examining the fragments to confirm her identity.
