# Telangana to credit Rs 2,400 crore fee reimbursement in advance

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced on Friday that the state government will deposit Rs 2,400 crore towards fee reimbursement directly into students' bank accounts in advance from the 2026-2027 academic year. Rs 250 crore has already been released, The Hindu and Times of India report. The new system aims to prevent colleges from withholding certificates over delayed reimbursements. Speaking after unveiling statues of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule in Hyderabad, Reddy also announced skill-based education from nursery to Class 12. Advanced Technical Centres, set up with the Tata Group in all 119 constituencies, provide a monthly stipend of Rs 2,000 to enrolled students, he said.
