Minister of State for Telecom Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha that the total is subject to revision based on representations by operators, departmental assessments, audit observations and court cases. Vodafone Idea has the highest outstanding amount at Rs 66,149 crore, followed by Bharti Airtel at Rs 41,178.58 crore, Tata Group at Rs 16,649.77 crore and MTNL at Rs 14,870.39 crore. BSNL has no dues.
