# Telugu films Varanasi, Spirit and Dragon set for 2027 releases 2026-08-20T12:04:36+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Several major Telugu films have announced release plans for 2027, led by SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, Prabhas’ Spirit, NTR’s Dragon and Allu Arjun’s Raaka. The listed dates include Spirit on March 5, Varanasi on April 7 and Dragon on June 11. Raaka is scheduled for summer 2027. The Sankranti period has three listed releases: Vidudala and Sambarala Yeti Gattu on January 12, followed by George Krish on January 14. Vidudala stars Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram, while Sambarala Yeti Gattu features Sai Dharam Tej and Aishwarya Lekshmi. George Krish stars Sharwanand. The table also lists Kaaka, starring Chiranjeevi and Nivetha Pethuraj, for January 10 or 13, 2026, despite the page presenting a 2027 schedule. TeluguCinema.com cautions that dates can change because of production delays, box-office planning and festival scheduling. ## Indian Opinion Analysis A release date becomes firm only after production is complete, post-production is cleared and the film receives certification for public exhibition. Large Telugu releases also require coordinated theatre distribution, which can affect how many screens a film gets in its opening week. Festival windows can intensify competition, especially around Sankranti, when several films seek the same audience. The clearest signal will be formal confirmation from each production team as the dates approach. ## Coverage - telugucinema.com Lists announced dates and cautions that they may change This story was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
