A student opened fire at Debsirin Nonthaburi School near Bangkok on Friday, killing three teachers and three students, according to police reports cited by The Hindu and NDTV Profit. The Hindu reports that the teenager had first killed his grandparents with his grandfather’s handgun, taking the total deaths to eight. Fifteen students were injured while fleeing, a Thai official told The Hindu. Casualty and suspect details remain disputed. Hindustan Times reports 23 injured and says the teenager died from a self-inflicted wound, while LiveMint and Times Now News reported that he was critically injured. Police said 26 rounds were fired and 34 more were recovered. The motive is under investigation.
