# Thane farmers to get digital fertiliser platform from Aug 15

The central government's online fertiliser distribution system will launch in Thane district on August 15. The Framework for Fertiliser Sale platform, developed by the fertiliser and agriculture ministries, lets farmers check real-time stocks and book orders via mobile phone. Zilla Parishad CEO Ranjit Yadav said farmers can register using Aadhaar or farmer ID to get a QR code and token for collection. The system, already piloted in 56 districts across 23 states, aims to cut travel time and improve transparency. Thane has 1.38 lakh farmers over 59,831 hectares of Kharif crop land.
