Early Labor Day sales are here, and Amazon has a ton of great tech deals. To make your life a little easier, I’ve rounded up the best ones I could find.
Headphones
If you need to get new ANC headphones, there are some good options seeing big discounts. The WH-1000XM4 starts at $198 (originally $349.99). They’re not as fancy as the XM6, but they’re still great headphones and plenty powerful for most people. You can read more about them in PCMag’s “outstanding” review.
For those who are willing to spend more for premium headphones, consider Sonos Ace, especially if you’re already in the Sonos ecosystem. But even if you’re not, these make great headphones for Android and Apple users alike. You can get them for $299 (originally $399). You can read more about them in PCMag’s “excellent” review.
TVs
I’ve been lucky enough to test TCL’s new QM6K QLED TV firsthand for a couple of months. It’s hard to believe it’s considered a budget TV, considering how good it is. The 55-inch model starts at $446.99 (originally $698 at launch) right now.
For those looking to splurge on an OLED TV, the 55-inch LG C5 is $1,296.99 (originally $1,799.99) and the 65-inch is $1,496.99 (originally $2,696.99). This OLED model came out this year and it’s impressive to already see it with such a steep discount. It has excellent image quality like you’d expect from any OLED, has great gaming specs, and the contrast looks great even in bright rooms, according to CNET’s review.
The Hisense 100″ Class U8 is a mid-tier TV that was released in April of this year. It’s a solid, well-rounded TV that will work great in bright rooms and excels for watching sports and movies, and playing video games. The brightness, black levels, and colors are its most impressive specs. You can get it for $3,499.99 (originally $6,999.99) after a 50% discount, bringing it to its lowest price ever.
Tablets
The Pixel Tablet is Google’s answer to the iPad, but for both Apple and Android users and is much cheaper. It also doubles as a smart display when docked to its charging speaker dock. It’s perfect for leaving on your kitchen counter or living room as a hub. At $249 (originally $399), it’s a solid pick if you’re already invested in Google’s ecosystem.
If you’re an Apple user and want the best money can but for iPads, consider the iPad Pro. It’s honestly a laptop in tablet form. Powered by the M4 chip—a more powerful chip than most laptops have—it offers performance that can handle the most demanding tasks without issues. Right now, the 11-inch version is at its lowest price yet, according to price trackers, at $894.99.
Both the Kindle Kids models are discounted right now. The classic Amazon Kindle Kids is $99.99 (originally $129.99), and the Kindle Colorsoft Kids is $239.99 (originally $269.99)—its first discount since its recent release. The Kindle Kids model always offers a better value than the regular adult version, regardless of the owner’s age: The Kids model comes with a case, doesn’t display ads, and includes a few months of Amazon Kids+, a subscription service that grants access to a bunch of books.
For the DIY-ers, the Dewalt Power Drill Combo Kit comes with a DeWalt 20-volt MAX ½ inch chuck drill, a 20-volt MAX ¼ inch chuck impact driver, two two-amp 20-volt MAX batteries, a 20-volt MAX charger, and a tool bag. An impact drill means getting into those tougher surfaces like bricks, blocks, or metal (with the right drill bits). Having two batteries and drills also means double time without needing to stop or recharge. Get the combo for $179 (originally $259).
Soundbars
The Bose TV Speaker Soundbar is Bose’s budget soundbar from 2020. It’s simple, compact, and it’s great for anyone looking to enhance dialogue with its enhancement feature (and who isn’t?). It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles the premium Bose soundbars have, but it does the basics well. You can get it for $163.45 (originally $279).
You can get Sonos’ latest flagship soundbar, the Arc Ultra, for a record low price of $899 (originally $999) after a $100 discount. The Arc Ultra succeeded the already excellent Arc Soundbar, but it added Bluetooth and a more immersive audio experience with deeper bass and clearer dialogue, according to PCMag’s “outstanding” review. This is a very long soundbar, measuring 2.95 by 46.38 by 4.35 inches, so make sure you have the space for it.
If you don’t have the space for that, the Sonos Beam Gen 2 is much more compact and is going for $399 (originally $499). It came out in 2021, adding Atmos compatibility, eARC connectivity, NFC connectivity, and a better processor from the Gen 1, according to CNET’s review. The release of the bigger and more powerful Sonos Arc Ultra meant the Beam Gen 2 was no longer the flagship premium soundbar and started falling in price.
AirTags
The AirTag works with Apple’s network of iOS devices to create a Bluetooth tracker. Essentially, every person with an iPhone (or iPad) is part of this iOS network, and as long as one of these people gets within Bluetooth range of your AirTag, it will show up as the last location on your Find My app. You can get a four-pack for $69.99 (originally $99).
