Counter Intelligence Jalandhar and Batala police carried out the joint operation. Karanjit, from Murgi Mohalla, is said to be an operative of an ISI-backed terror module run by a Portugal-based BKI mastermind. Two others, Rajan alias Gullu and a juvenile, were arrested earlier. Police said Karanjit, after the attack, was hiding and planning similar strikes on police posts across the state. A case under sections 109 and 324(4) of BNS and explosives act sections has been registered at Batala's Civil Lines station.
