# Three Delhi Children Rescued After Falling Into Flooded Drain

Three schoolchildren fell into a drain hidden by floodwater in north Delhi’s Jagatpur on Thursday and were pulled out within seconds by locals, passers-by and motorists. CCTV footage dated August 6 shows about 10 children wading through calf-deep water on a submerged road as vehicles remain stranded. Three children then disappear into what Times of India reports was an overflowing drain. A senior police officer told the paper that no PCR call or formal complaint was received. The incident came after rain-related deaths in Delhi-NCR, including the drowning of a seven-year-old boy in Samaypur Badli and a three-year-old girl in Ghaziabad last month. Times Now reports that the IMD issued a yellow alert for Friday, warning of rain, waterlogging and traffic disruption.
