# Three JPSC members resign amid exam protests

All three serving members of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission, Ajita Bhattacharya, Jameel Ahmed, and Anima Hansda, have resigned after being summoned by the CID over alleged examination irregularities. Governor Santosh Gangwar accepted their resignations on Sunday. The state government has agreed to cancel the 14th JPSC preliminary exam and two backlog recruitments. It has promised a CID probe, fast-track courts, and a committee from IIT-ISM, IIM Ranchi and XLRI to recommend reforms. But protesting students, who want a CBI investigation into all exams since 2019, have rejected the offer. They plan to march to the Jharkhand Assembly on Monday.
