Three men died early Saturday when their speeding Maruti Swift slammed into a parked truck on the Jalandhar-Maksudan bypass, about 6.30am. Police identified two victims as Vijay Verma (26) and Ramu (25), both from Gulmarg Colony; the third remains unidentified. The car's speedometer was stuck at 140 km/hr, according to SHO Rakesh Kumar. The truck driver, reportedly sleeping at the time, fled the scene.
