Three policemen from the Kalamassery station in Kochi have been suspended for allegedly taking about ₹1 lakh from a scrap dealer during a theft investigation. Sub-inspectors Sebastian Chacko and Shameer, along with civil police officer Jijo, face disciplinary action after the scrap dealer was reportedly targeted for having links to a theft accused who escaped police custody in July.
