Vismaya Mohanlal's acting debut in 'Thudakkam' earned Rs 2.40 crore net in India on its opening day, according to Sacnilk estimates. The Malayalam film, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, grossed Rs 2.78 crore domestic with overall Malayalam 2D occupancy of 42%. Night shows saw the strongest response at 59% occupancy. Kerala contributed Rs 2.50 crore of the gross total, followed by Karnataka at Rs 15 lakh.
