Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led a Tiranga Yatra in Lucknow on Sunday, August 9, warning that those who insult national symbols cannot be allowed to live in India. The India Today report quotes him saying the government has made insults against the national anthem and song cognisable offences. The yatra, part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign ahead of India's 80th Independence Day, saw thousands of youths march from the CM's residence to Vidhan Bhavan. Similar marches were held across states. In Haryana's Narnaul, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini flagged off a half marathon combining the campaign with a fitness drive and a message against drug abuse. West Bengal minister Dilip Ghosh announced a major rally in Kolkata on August 10 and plans to distribute 70 lakh flags. The campaign also marks 150 years of 'Vande Mataram'.
