A Bengaluru couple were found dead in their rented home in Rajagopalnagar on Friday, with police probing a voice message sent by the husband hours earlier. Sumant Jain, 32, a civil engineer, allegedly told his mother in a 1.30am WhatsApp audio that he was ending his life after a quarrel with his wife, Padmavathi, 28 or 29. The Times of India reports the dispute began when Padmavathi said, “This house is mine.” The Hindu reports a fight over a marital issue. Police have registered a murder case and an unnatural death report. Post-mortem results are awaited.
