The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has increased Group I exam vacancies from 26 to 46 through an addendum, after candidates complained the initial notification was too low. The Hindu reports TNPSC chairman S.K. Prabakar promised further hikes. Lakhs of aspirants had protested on social media, noting the 26 vacancies were the fewest in years. Separately, TNPSC opened Group 2 exam registration for 780 posts, with preliminary exams scheduled for November 1.
