# TNTET 2026 notification out for working teachers, apply by 19 November 2026-10-28T23:57:02+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The Teachers Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu, has released the TNTET Notification 2026 for working teachers appointed on or before 1 September 2025. Online applications open from 27 October to 19 November on trb.tn.gov.in for Paper I (classes 1 to 5) and Paper II (classes 6 to 8). Both papers have 150 objective questions for 150 marks, to be completed in three hours. The exam is tentatively scheduled for 20 December 2026. Application fee is Rs 600 for general candidates and Rs 300 for SC, SCA, ST and differently abled persons. Separate applications and fees are required for each paper. The notification sets no age limit. Qualification routes differ for Paper I and Paper II, with specified marks thresholds and diploma or degree requirements. An edit option will be available from 20 to 22 November. Payment is accepted only online through net banking, credit card or debit card. ## Indian Opinion Analysis In-service teachers appointed before 1 September 2025 now have a fixed window until 19 November to secure eligibility through TNTET. The exam date, 20 December, gives roughly two months of preparation. Until the notification itself, the biggest open question was who qualified. By setting the appointment cutoff at 1 September 2025, the TRB has excluded teachers hired after that date. The absence of any stated age limit leaves the application open to a broad pool. Fee categories separate general candidates at Rs 600 from SC, ST and disabled candidates at Rs 300, with the warning that wrong selections are not refundable. The edit window, 20 to 22 November, is the only chance to correct mistakes. ## Coverage - freejobalert.com Structured as a straight notification service with table-based details This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
