# TRS leader arrested for sexually assaulting minor in Khammam

Wyra police arrested 50-year-old Gouravarapu Jagadeeswar, alias David Raj, under the Pocso Act on Saturday night for allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl in Wyra, Khammam district. The Times of India reports he is the Telangana Rakshana Sena’s Wyra constituency in charge. According to police, the accused entered the girl's house on the pretext of teaching her maths when she was alone. The Class VI student later told her parents, who lodged a complaint. Police took him into custody and a court remanded him. The Hindu reports he had a rowdy sheet that was later withdrawn. An investigation is underway.
