Elon Musk’s America PAC is preparing to spend $100 million to $120 million on Republican candidates in the November US midterm elections, The New York Times reports. The operation will focus first on Senate races in Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Michigan and Ohio, while also considering contests in North Carolina, Georgia and Texas. The PAC may support House races in California, Wisconsin and Washington. The spending plan follows Musk’s public rupture with President Donald Trump in June last year. Their relationship has since improved, with Vice-President JD Vance and Donald Trump Jr among those who helped maintain contact, according to The Wall Street Journal. Musk is expected to keep a lower public profile than during the 2024 campaign, when he spent nearly $300 million supporting Trump.
