The Erode police arrested two persons on Saturday (April 26, 2025) for their involvement in illegal sale of liquor.
The police, as part of an ongoing crackdown on illicit activities, apprehended Palanisamy (49), a resident of Amman Nagar, for selling liquor bottles illegally outside a cemetery in Thingalur village. Six bottles were seized from him, and a case was filed.
In a separate incident, Karthik (32), a native Ramanathapuram district was arrested for selling liquor near a water tank in Mettukadai Park Nagar. Ten bottles of liquor were confiscated from him.
