The accused were arrested on Tuesday, 6 October, and during questioning disclosed that they had received two consignments via drone-dropping. Recoveries from their possession included an Italian-made Beretta pistol, two magazines, four live rounds, approximately 500 grams of heroin and 500 grams of opium, according to officials. Rising Kashmir reports that FIR No. 64/2026 has been registered under relevant sections. Kashmir Life puts the total weight of suspected narcotics recovered at around 1 kg, comprising 500 grams of heroin and 500 grams of opium. Further investigation is in progress, police said. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both outlets present identical facts from the police account, with no divergent framing or editorial slant. Rising Kashmir leads with the arrest and the drone-dropping angle, while Kashmir Life leads with the arrest and the recovery tally, but the substance is the same: a straightforward police statement. The only minor difference is that Kashmir Life refers to the narcotics as 'suspected narcotics' whereas Rising Kashmir reports them as confirmed heroin and opium. The coverage is uniform straight reporting, leaving no analytical gap between the versions. The next step, as both outlets state, is the ongoing investigation. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - risingkashmir.com (neutral report) Straight police account, no editorial framing - kashmirlife.net (neutral report) Straight police account, no editorial framing This brief was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
