The jewellery remains missing, while police have seized Rs 4 lakh in cash and are searching for two suspected accomplices, Ranjan Kumar and Ashok Kumar. Investigators tracked an Apple Watch that was inside the stolen bag, examined CCTV footage and checked passengers’ phone locations. Police allege the suspects took the bag when the traveller went to the washroom, moved the jewellery into their own bags and threw the original bag from the moving train.
