# Two get 7-year jail terms in Kadapa teak tree murder

A Kadapa district court has sentenced P. Manindra and P. Nagendra to seven years in prison for the murder of Bheemishetty Lakshmi Narasimhulu in March 2023. The victim, 29, was attacked after a dispute over Rs 300 extra payment for cutting teak trees. District and Sessions Judge Dr C. Yamini convicted the duo under Section 302 read with Section 34 of the IPC. The court acquitted the third accused, P. Srinivasulu, saying the prosecution could not establish his guilt. The case was registered on a complaint by the victim's mother, and the accused were arrested by former Vontimitta Circle Inspector R. Purushotham Raju.
