Dinesh Kumar Kumaran Nair, a 42-year-old engineer from Kerala living in Abu Dhabi for 16 years, took Dh 250,000; fellow Malayali Nithin Joy won Dh 100,000. Nithin was flown from India by the organisers for the live draw. Dinesh, part of a six-member group that has participated for two years, said he would use the prize to clear loans and urged others to “keep trying”. Nithin will also clear debts and support a cousin undergoing treatment for a brain tumour. A Jordanian participant, Osama Mahmoud, won Dh 100,000.
