# Two Kanwariyas killed in UP, one in Uttarakhand road accidents

Two Kanwariyas were killed and another injured after a speeding car hit their motorcycle on the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway in Uttar Pradesh early Wednesday, police said. In a separate incident in Uttarakhand on Friday, a 23-year-old Kanwariya from Faridabad died and two others were injured when their motorcycle collided with a government bus on the Haridwar, Najibabad National Highway. The deceased in Uttarakhand was identified as Manish Kumar, police said. Both incidents occurred during the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, in which lakhs of devotees travel to collect Ganga water. Police have attributed the UP crash to speeding, while the Uttarakhand bus driver has not been arrested.
