Two people were killed and two others injured when lightning struck Gawran Nard in the Kokernag area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Thursday, officials said. The deceased were identified as Faizan Ahmad (18) and Bilal Ahmad Battana (16), both residents of Gawran. The injured, Sajad Ahmad Battana (15) and Shareef Ahmad Battana, were taken to PHC Larnoo for treatment. The remote village saw the afternoon strike amid clear weather, catching residents off guard.
