# Actress and mother stabbed 26 times, driver missing

Rani Padmini, a 22-year-old actress, and her 46-year-old mother Indirakumari were found dead in their Chennai bungalow after four days. The bodies were discovered stacked in a bathroom by a real estate agent. Police allege the women were stabbed 26 times. Suspicion has fallen on G Jebaraj, the family driver who joined on October 4 and vanished after the murder on October 15. The car, an imported Nissan, was also missing. The prosecution claims the women had withdrawn around Rs 5 lakh on the day of the killing.
