# Jharkhand student hunger strike continues, govt cancels 3 exams

Four student protesters on indefinite hunger strike over alleged irregularities in Jharkhand recruitment exams are hospitalised but stable. Devendra Nath Mahto has refused food for 11 days, while others take liquids. Chief Minister Hemant Soren cancelled the 14th JPSC Preliminary exam and two backlog exams, and ordered a CID investigation into papers conducted by TSDP Data Processing Limited. But students say this is not enough. They demand cancellation of all TDPL-conducted exams, a CBI probe, and cancellation of the JSSC-CGL exam. There is no consensus on a CBI probe: the AISA opposes it, citing past failures. Ministers have visited the protest site, but the hunger strike continues at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium and Sadar Hospital.
