The state will introduce ELISA-based diagnostic testing and strengthen farm-level biosecurity in Pilibhit and Gorakhpur districts, The Hindu reports. Under the RISE Global Health Security Project, the department and the Forest and Wildlife wing collected over 1,100 samples from wild migratory birds at 19 Ramsar wetlands last season. Similar surveillance is planned for the upcoming season.
