# UGC NET answer key delayed 37 days, students seek NTA response

The UGC NET June 2026 answer key has not been released 37 days after the exam ended on June 30. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not given any reason, and India TV reports that the agency did not respond to their queries. The delay is affecting candidates waiting for PhD admissions, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and assistant professor eligibility. Student bodies have stepped in. The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) wrote to the UGC and NTA on August 2. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) submitted a memorandum to UGC Secretary Shyama Rath on August 6, demanding the immediate release of the provisional answer key and a public explanation for the delay.
