# Regional parties report ₹1,051 crore in donations in 2024-25

Regional parties declared donations of ₹1,051 crore in 2024-25, up from ₹347 crore the previous year, an Association for Democratic Reforms analysis of Election Commission filings found. DMK reported the highest amount at ₹365 crore, followed by AITC. In Telangana, BRS contributions fell 82% to ₹15 crore, while YSR Congress collections rose 124% to ₹140 crore. TDP reported ₹83 crore, down from ₹100 crore, and Janasena declared ₹25.3 crore, a 29.7% fall. The Times of India reports that BRS and AIMIM filed their latest reports late. The filings also record electoral bond receipts from earlier years: BRS ₹495 crore, TDP ₹174 crore and YSR Congress ₹121 crore. An earlier Hindu analysis found that 55% of selected regional parties’ FY20 funds came from unknown sources, with nearly 96% of that amount routed through electoral bonds.
