The 1.5-km stretch connecting several villages along the Yamuna belt has turned into mud and slush after rains, making it difficult for children to reach school and for residents to take the sick to hospital. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Abhishek Kumar and Circle Officer Yashpal Singh tried to stop the protesters, but the children refused to move, leaving officials inside unable to exit. The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) backed the protest. Spokesperson Saurav Das said “Well done”, while founder Abhijeet Dipke called for a pledge to improve government schools in villages. The protest, which went viral on social media, affects nearly 3,000 residents.
