# UP minor girl nabbed with 10 bullets at Gonda jail

A minor girl was caught with 10 live cartridges while trying to meet her lover at Gonda district jail in Uttar Pradesh on August 6. The intermediate student arrived around 2 pm for a scheduled visit, but jail staff grew suspicious when her identity details did not match. A female warder frisked her and found the bullets, a fake Aadhaar card and cash, the Times of India reports. The girl initially gave a false name before revealing her identity. She told police her father is an advocate with a licensed pistol, and she took the cartridges fearing he might take an extreme step over her relationship. The man she went to meet is an undertrial in a POCSO case with eight past cases. Police seized the ammunition and registered a case under the Arms Act and BNS, and are probing the fake Aadhaar card's origin.
