Similar bans have been introduced in Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. The move comes as enforcement teams target suspected adulteration. The Economic Times reports that UP food safety officials destroyed 868 kg of paneer and 170 kg of khoya during raids in Ghaziabad. In a separate Mathura raid, officials destroyed 1,500 kg of paneer and 3,000 litres of milk.
