# US CENTCOM to create multinational attack drone task force

US Central Command has announced plans to establish Task Force Falcon Strike, its first multinational, multi-domain attack drone unit. The task force will use one-way unmanned systems operating above, on and below the sea, with US and regional military personnel. The Assam Tribune reports that CENTCOM has begun consulting regional partners and will invite them to join the unit. Falcon Strike will build on Task Force Scorpion Strike, launched nine months earlier as the US military’s first dedicated one-way attack drone squadron in the Middle East. Staff from US Special Operations Command Central will lead the new unit from MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa.
