A three-year-old girl spotted the body from her veranda and alerted her mother, who informed neighbours. The SDRF team, led by sub-inspector Rajendra Singh Rawat, retrieved the body and handed it to police. Koranga lived alone near the river; his family in Jalekh village includes his parents, wife, son and two daughters.
