The original completion date was November 2021. Land acquisition, utility shifting and contractor delays have repeatedly pushed it back, leaving lakhs of commuters from Varthur, Gunjur and surrounding areas stranded in congestion and damaged roads. KRDCL managing director Susheelamma N said 80% of land acquisition is complete and blamed the contractor for delays, but residents remain sceptical after six years of broken promises.
