# Passenger vehicle sales jump 34.3% in July, strongest ever: SIAM

Passenger vehicle dispatches from companies to dealers rose 34.3% year-on-year to 4,57,810 units in July 2026, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said. Two-wheeler sales climbed 22.6% to 19,23,483 units, while three-wheeler dispatches grew 33.4% to 92,560 units compared with July 2025. SIAM director general Rajesh Menon called it the industry's strongest-ever July, with momentum continuing into the festive season. The Hindu reports that all three categories registered double-digit growth.
