Such boycotts affect poor litigants,” said litigant V. Ramu. The court complex has 15 courts handling civil and criminal cases, with 600 advocates and 300-400 cases heard each day. The canteen, which ran for over two decades, was closed by the Public Works Department before the pandemic. Advocates, staff, and litigants now walk 500 metres to roadside eateries, causing delays.
