# Vellore pensioners protest for hospital block, lower insurance premium

Members of the Vellore District Pensioners Association protested outside the Collectorate on Wednesday. They demanded a special block for pensioners at all government hospitals in the district, a reduction in the medical insurance premium from Rs 644 to Rs 390, and inclusion in the District Grievances Cell chaired by the collector. The Hindu reports that association president R. Murugan led the protest. The group also wants errors in the New Medical Insurance Policy for pensioners rectified.
