Venus Williams’ singles losing streak reached 13 matches after Emiliana Arango beat her 6-2, 6-2 in the Cincinnati Open first round on Friday. The 25-year-old Colombian qualifier, ranked 95th, won in 1 hour and 5 minutes. Williams, a seven-time major champion, received a wild-card entry to the WTA 1000 event and has not won a singles match since July 2025.
