Corroboration: 2 independent outlets

Veteran South Indian actress Sowcar Janaki, aged 95, has been placed on ventilator support at a private hospital in Chennai after her condition deteriorated. She was admitted around a week ago with respiratory problems and was shifted to the intensive care unit last night, according to m9.news. The actress is under close medical observation. m9.news reports that her condition became serious, while 123telugu.com states she was admitted for age-related health issues and breathing problems, without mentioning ventilator support or the age difference of one year. Her family and the film industry are concerned, and further updates are awaited.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

m9.news leads with the dramatic detail of ventilator support, fitting its sensationalist framing, while 123telugu.com gives a subdued age-related health account without that escalation, keeping a neutral-report stance. The gap between the two, one reporting a critical ICU step, the other omitting it, means readers should watch for an official statement from the hospital or family to confirm severity. The next concrete update will resolve whether the condition is as grave as m9.news suggests.
