# Kunal Kemmu’s Vibe teaser brings meta Bollywood humour, release set for September 2026-08-21T08:51:31+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Kunal Kemmu's upcoming comedy film Vibe released its teaser on Friday. The film, directed, written and produced by Kemmu, follows two hapless men who stumble into a terrorist conspiracy and are forced to become unlikely agents. The teaser is packed with meta references to Bollywood spy films such as Pathaan and Tiger, as well as a joke about Bobby Deol's character in Soldier. Preity Zinta, making a Bollywood comeback after Batwara 1947, plays a key role as an officer recruiting the agents. The cast also includes Sparsh Shrivastava, Vashika Dhir, Dinesh Lal Yadav, Yashpal Sharma and Salem Guermat. The film is backed by Amazon MGM Studios and is set to release in theatres on September 18, 2026. Both sources describe the teaser as generating positive reactions online, with fans praising Kemmu's comic timing. Kemmu's directorial debut Madgaon Express was a box office hit in 2024. He also has the multi-starrer Golmaal 5 in the pipeline. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both sources treat Vibe as a pure entertainment story and offer near-identical reporting, focusing on the meta humour and Bollywood references. There is no political or ideological slant in either account. The coverage is uniform straight reporting. The implication for readers is that the film is positioned as a self-aware comedy that pokes fun at the spy genre, a strategy that worked for Kemmu's previous hit Madgaon Express. What remains to be seen is whether the film's theatrical release on September 18 can sustain audience interest in a busy release calendar. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - timesnownews.com (neutral report) Straight news-style coverage of teaser release, fan reactions, and film details. - hindustantimes.com (neutral report) Factual reporting on teaser content, cast, production details, and release date.
