# Vignesh Shivan jokingly thanks Kiara Advani for rejecting his film 2026-08-25T13:07:48+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 3 independent outlets Director Vignesh Shivan told Kiara Advani at the Chennai pre-release event for 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' that she was "lucky" not to have acted in his film 'Love Insurance Kompany'. He recalled meeting her before 'Kabir Singh' to narrate the story, which he later made as 'Love Insurance Kompany'. The film, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty, underperformed at the box office. Kiara Advani is making her Kannada debut with 'Toxic', directed by Geetu Mohandas and led by Yash. The film releases in theatres on August 25. Vignesh's self-deprecating remark drew laughter from Kiara and the audience, turning his own film's failure into a light-hearted moment. ## Indian Opinion Analysis All three sources report the same event neutrally, with no editorial slant. Pinkvilla leads with Kiara being "lucky" as the hook, Times of India frames it as self-trolling, and 123telugu adds that Kiara was the "first choice" for the role. The coverage is uniform straight reporting of a promotional anecdote. The real takeaway is the marketing buzz around 'Toxic', which releases tomorrow and faces high expectations after Yash's 'KGF' success. ## Coverage Coverage: 3 sources, 3 neutral - pinkvilla.com (neutral report) Straight event reporting, leads with Vignesh's quote - timesofindia.indiatimes.com (neutral report) Narrative account with context, no slant - 123telugu.com (neutral report) Adds casting history detail, neutral tone This brief was synthesised by AI from the 3 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
