# Vivo V80 launched in India at Rs 62,999, competes with V70 series 2026-11-05T03:17:39+00:00 | Technology | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet Vivo launched the V80 in India in October 2026 at a starting price of Rs 62,999. The phone competes with the company's own V70 Elite (Rs 66,999) and V70 (Rs 59,999), all in the sub-Rs 60,000 to 70,000 range and targeting camera buyers with ZEISS optics. The V80 offers a 7,200mAh battery and ships with OriginOS 7 on Android 17. The V70 and V70 Elite have 6,500mAh cells and Android 16. The V70 Elite runs a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, while the other two use a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. All three have a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, 50MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP selfie shooter. The V80 comes in Stellar Black, Sunrise Anthem and Horizon Blue. ## Indian Opinion Analysis The V80's 7,200mAh battery and Android 17 out of the box are its clearest advantages over the V70 line, but the V70 Elite's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset offers higher raw performance for the same €66,999 price. All three models target the same camera-first buyer with ZEISS optics, so the choice narrows to trade-offs between battery life, processing power and launch software. The V80 at €62,999 slots between the V70 at €59,999 and the V70 Elite at €66,999, meaning Vivo has not disrupted its own pricing ladder. For a buyer, the unresolved question is whether the newer software and larger battery justify paying €3,000 more than the V70, or whether the V70 Elite's faster chip is worth €4,000 above the V80. ## Coverage - digit.in Leads with price announcement and internal brand comparison This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
