It’s amazing how much goes into the production of a single almond, tear-drop like, enveloped in a brown skin, and the crunchy unmistakable as you bite down.
It actually takes a lot of love, devotion and steadfastness to raise that perfect tear drop, that is packed with nutrition, and the uses of which are so diverse, and expanding every day.
One of the five zones in the world with the Mediterranean climate ideal for the growth of almonds, in California, the almond is much loved. The annual almond lifecycle has many stages, from stark to breathtakingly gorgeous, the most favourite tree nut of the world grows in an abundance of natural beauty, and is a source of joy even before it delights you with its taste.
We look at the four distinct phases in the life cycle of the almond.
