The crime took place on August 10 in South Delhi's Sangam Vihar area. Police said Nazia mixed a sedative in water and gave it to Munna Lal. When he fell asleep, Chaman and Kishan entered, strangled him, gave him electric shocks, and beat him with a wooden stick to ensure he was dead. The three then staged a burglary. Nazia initially claimed burglars killed her husband, but CCTV footage showed a masked man entering and leaving the house. Police recovered Rs 15,000 from the suspects. DCP Anant Mittal said the motive stemmed from frequent domestic disputes, financial issues, and Nazia's affair with Chaman. Nazia had promised Chaman Rs 5 lakh for the killing and paid him Rs 20,000 after the murder. The couple had been married for 22 years and had three children.
